Setting the Window Registration of the Stereo Pair (continued)

Use the deformation tool to correct rotational errors, vertical misalignment, and adjust separation between the left and right images. Horizontal separation will determine placement within the stereo window. Typically, moving the left image to the left or the right image to the right will move the pair further back into the window. The Layer Visibility Toggle in the Layer Palette can be used to quickly compare rotational alignment between the left and right images.

Once alignment is satisfactory, set opacity back to 100%. Now is the time to crop any unwanted areas, as this will crop both left and right images simultaneously. The more corrections that are made, the more cropping will be necessary.

Copy Layer1; this will become the new left image.

Paste as new image; this will now replace your original left image.
